Retirees Might Still Be Paying Mortgages

Over 35 percent of people age 65 to 74 are still paying off mortgages, according to the Federal Reserve’s 2016 Survey of Consumer Finance. Of respondents age 75 and older, less than one in four is still paying off a mortgage.
