31 Things That Are Not Worth the Money

Bottles of Wine at Restaurants

Bottle of wine at Olive Garden: $25 and up

Restaurants often mark up bottle prices at least 300 percent from their wholesale cost, according to wine and beverage site VinePair — just one of many crazy restaurant markups.

A bottle of Sutter Home White Zinfandel that retails for $5.49 will cost you $25 at Olive Garden — nearly five times its worth. You can often save money on wine by bringing your own bottle and paying a corkage fee, which usually ranges from $20 to $40.
