20 Tips and Tricks to Lower Your Energy Bill During Winter
Install low-flow showerheads and faucets
Low-flow water fixtures of the past may have left you with unsatisfying trickles of water, but these days many of them deliver satisfying showers and water pressure while conserving water significantly.
They’re likely to reduce your water use by 25% to 60%, per the U.S. Department of Energy – and the less water you use, especially hot water, the lower your water bills and heating bills will be. According to some studies, depending on the size of your household and your water usage profiles, you may save $100 to $200 per year with low-flow fixtures. That’s more than $1,000 or $2,000 over a decade.
