WHEN WE DIE, OUR HAIR AND NAILS CONTINUE TO GROW

It’s a common myth that after death our hair and nails continue to grow for a while. However, it’s completely untrue. When we die, our blood, which is responsible for delivering oxygen to our cells, stops circulating because our heart stops beating.

Follicles that create hair and nails need blood and oxygen to do their job. If they don’t have access to either, it’s impossible for our nails and hair to continue to grow after the grim reaper has paid us a visit.
